About CapyPlan

Born in a temple in Chiang Mai.

CapyPlan is a gentle daily planner for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac, made by an indie duo in Sydney, Australia. This is the story of why we built it.

Our Story

CapyPlan was born in a temple in Chiang Mai. As an indie duo, one designer and one engineer, we met during a meditation retreat. We realized that while the world is full of "productivity" apps that induce anxiety with harsh notifications and rigid lists, there was a void for something that felt like a deep breath.

We decided to combine our skills to create CapyPlan: a digital companion designed to bring the calm of the temple into the chaos of daily life.

Our design philosophy is a direct rejection of the "corporate gray" aesthetic, opting instead for a vibrant, warm palette that makes productivity feel inviting. We spent months iterating on our capybara character to ensure it radiates a "chill" energy that lowers the user's cognitive load. By combining beautiful UI with micro-interactions that prioritize mental well-being, we've created a space where planning your day feels like taking a deep breath.

CapyPlan represents the best of the indie community: two women building a high-quality, soulful product that prioritizes mental well-being over "hustle culture." It's an app that doesn't just help you get things done. It helps you feel good while doing them.

What we believe

You won't follow your plan. That's fine.

Every feature in CapyPlan starts from this assumption. Plans are intentions, not contracts.

Effort counts.

There is more than done and not done. Marking a task as Tried honors the work you put in.

No streaks, no red numbers.

Nothing goes overdue. Unfinished tasks float back to your basket for whenever tomorrow feels possible.

Calm is a feature.

Warm colors, a sleepy capybara, and a yuzu bath that fills as you go. Planning should feel like a deep breath.
